Kendell Farmer

~By Cody Butler

Kendall Farmer wreaked havoc on both sides of the trenches this season for the undefeated Welcome All Panthers 11U. Farmer plays defensive tackle and right guard with a strong physicality each rep. Standing 5’4 180lbs, he was recognized as a B2C All American last year. Welcome All 11U won their league championship again this fall accomplishing their season goals. “We’re brothers, we stick together and fight hard every play’, Farmer told Born To Compete. Farmer’s physicality brings an edge to their line play each snap. Welcome All Panthers defeated the Atlanta Bulldogs in the B2C Championship this December to finish as the No.1 11U team in Georgia.

Farmer’s edge is not just his size and strength over most players, but his heart and will to succeed. “I try to power over anyone in the backfield defensively and I make sure my quarterback doesn’t get hit”, Farmer explained. The clear-cut descriptions of his job are executed weekly. He gives 100% every play and delivers constant productive reps. “My favorite play this year was against Tucker on the first play of the game I flattened the running back. They ran a toss outside to my area and I just hit him really hard”, Farmer commented. Plays like that set the tone of Welcome All’s physicality.

“My favorite player is Vic Beasley of the Atlanta Falcons”, Farmer suggested. “He plays hard through the whistle and gives 100% every snap”. Beasley also wears No. 44, the same as him. Farmer put together a special season statistically with sacks, tackles, and pancakes throughout the year. Something he attributes to his team. “My teammates are really good. We all battle against each other to see who’s the strongest. The techniques we learn at practice are how we overpower a team”. Farmer will play for Welcome All 12u next season in hopes of winning a third consecutive championship. “I want to take time to go through my techniques. I need to practice a lot and work out to get better.”
