Taurean Richardson
Every generation has it’s own ”Big Baby”. Here in Georgia, our big baby resides in opposing teams backfields. With pleasure, we introduce you to 8-year-old Taurean Richardson. Taurean is best known to dominate the trenches at his age group. Disrupting the weekly game plan on Saturday mornings of opposing teams has become the norm for the young athlete. Double-teaming him has run its course. In only two years Richardson has earned the right to be among one of the most talked-about commodities in youth football. Currently, the athlete’s name is trending amongst the youth football community as much as Tom Brady’s name is trending on ESPN.
Taurean’s football campaign started when he was 6 years old with the Georgia Rattlers where he earned an unconventional B2C Player of the Year award at the gala. Winning player of the year as a defensive lineman proves that Richardson refuses to allow his position to define his greatness. That greatness has carried over in 2019 and has earned him his second team’s MVP award, along with a B2C defensive player of the year award. Like most kids at his age & at his caliber, Richardson plays both sides of the ball. No secret from the second-grader that his pride and name is made on defense. Taurean is also making a name for himself in the classroom as he is in gifted classes & makes all A’s. While his favorite two subjects in school are math and reading Richardson is also trying his hand in the game of basketball this season. His limits have no ceilings as you will get to know when talking to him and or his parents. The picture becomes very clear that the boundaries don’t exist when it comes to the young lineman’s imagination. Passing the eyeball test as the typical lineman at his age or even an age up, Richardson’s athletic attributes are being credited to his idol Ezekiel Elliott the running back of the Dallas Cowboys. Now that the secret is out, a defensive lineman that carries the mindset of a pro bowl running back has found joy in running by other linemen has produced a B2C player of the year…go figure.
Taurean Richardson has made a name for himself in Atlanta, Georgia, in youth football and in a couple of years he will be a household name across the country. We at ItFactor and Borntocompete are true fans of the young phenom. The 2020 season will be highly anticipated and we look forward to witnessing ”Big Baby” continue his quest for pure domination and more B2C awards.
