The season is under way and this may be the most competitive the 8th grade division has been in the state of Georgia ever.  Of course the talent goes without saying as Malachi Singleton has recently been ranked as the #2 Dual-Threat QB in the country and well deserved as he stands a little over 6ft and weighs in at a shade one 200lbs.  He is a leader of the most explosive offense in the state.  We will find out just how good they are as Pebblebrook is on the schedule for this week.  It is going to be a must see game.  Tucker and Stephenson in Dekalb are two of the most athletic and violence defenses you will see.  More than likely they are on a collision course for the county championship and a spot in the B2C but after watching Cedar Grove give Stephenson all they can handle Tucker better be prepared for a Cedar Grove team that is motivated and physical.  North Clayton took the state by surprise last year when they won their county championship.  Now they have a target on their back as Kendrick and Eddie White both have very solid teams.  That picture will start to clear up a little more after Kendrick and Eddie White play this week.  Mill Creek might be the complete offense in the state as they have a balanced attack that can put up points in bushes and control the clock at the same time.  They have Grayson this week who is vastly under rated.  After losing a lot of players after winning the championship last year in the GFL many people wrote them off but Grayson now finds themselves ranked #10 with a chance to move up even higher with a win against Mill Creek.  Last year was the first time in a while that Cartersville wasn’t able to win the BGMSAA.  The story was all about Calhoun Middle and how they not only won but dominated their county.  Now Cartersville is back in a big way and they started with a huge win against Woodland 49-0.  In the APS there is so much individual talent it will literally blow your mind.  KIPP Vision and up and comer Renaissance will have a chance to make their way into the B2C.  Both teams are playing at a very high level and All World Terrance Love from Renaissance has a chance to show once again why many people consider him the #1 prospect in 8th Grade.  Down in middle GA in the CGMSAL Upson Lee has a chance for a very good season.  A couple of years ago they made it to the championship game with recent GA Commit Trevon Walker.  Now they have a brand new group that is looking to finish the drill this time and take home the trophy.  In Forsyth D’Anthony Crayton from DeSana has set that league on fire.  The former Hapeville Hornet product is not only being productive but he is dominating with his hard nose running and side line to side line play making ability at Linebacker but the talk of the town right now is South Forsyth and that defense.  As of today they haven’t given up a single point.
