It was a packed house this past weekend as the Atlanta Ducks and North Henry went toe to toe. Their earlier matchup was a classic, this one wasn’t so much what people thought it would be. The addition of Lawrence Jordan made all the difference as he dominated the game in the second half with over 100 years rushing, 2TDs and a fumble recovery. Just as we stated in the way too early rankings during the summer that he would be a difference maker and thats exactly what he is for the Ducks. Last year he was a top 10 player with Panhandle, this year he might walk away with the B2C Player of the Year depending how the rest of the year goes for him. One thing we know for sure about the Ducks is their defensive and offensive line are scary. They can single handily win a game by themselves. The most unstoppable force in football is a front four and five that can dominate and thats what the Ducks have. As far as North Henry, they will have to figure out two things. How to get the ball in Raul Aguirre hands more on 1st and 2nd down, also they will have to get a rhythm on offense so they can sustain drives. That has been this teams weakness for years. If they can make the adjustment, then the YFA Select Championship will be a classic. GA Rattlers played “big boy” football this past weekend against DYJ as they rode the shoulders of Steven Simpson, he was an absolute beast on the field and at the end of the game he put his name in the hat for B2C Player of the Year. He also became the first player from the GA Rattlers to receive an invite to play in the B2C All American game (6th Grade), congrats to that young man. The more and more you look at the GFL you start to pay attention to the 11U age group. They have 4 teams that can make a run for the title but no matter who wins it, the road goes through Mill Creek.
B2C Championship will be expanded to 12 teams this year for the 11U Division, win and your in!!
